Founded in 1923 by Jewish labor activists as a retreat for their children from the tenements of NYC, Camp Kinderland is true to the vision of its founders. In a difficult world, we are an oasis for children ages 9 to 16; a place where they can be themselves, feel at ease, and work and play in an atmosphere of cooperation and trust.
Nestled in the Berkshire Mountains, Camp Kinderland is a multicultural summer camp and community that honors our progressive secular Jewish roots through our commitment to economic, racial, and social justice. Kinderland’s summer programming and year-round activities integrate progressive values with arts, recreation, and activism in a compassionate and caring environment.
