A Profound Loss: Ira Coleman-Palansky

Beloved Camp Community,

It is with profound sorrow and shock that we write to inform you that Ira Coleman-Palansky died last night, following sudden complications ten days after knee surgery. Our hearts go out to Val, Micki Lee, Cyndi Lou, Anne, Josh, Ferdi, and the entire family, and also to all of us who so loved, and will so deeply miss Ira. He had been Program Director of Kinderland for forty years and was the soul of Camp. Even with him gone, we will laugh and “sing with Ira” for the rest of our lives, and remain forever touched by his generous heart.

We will gather together on Sunday, March 10th in New York City to celebrate the life of our beloved Ira Coleman-Palansky. Details to follow.
